Do you enjoy leading automation/controls projects in a fast-paced environment?As aControls AutomationEngineer you will have responsibility of leading the development and implementation of process and packaging control philosophy along with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and at E&J Gallo's new greenfield plant in Fort Lawn, South Carolina. Your focus will be to ensure that projects under your direction are delivering to company standards while using the capital project processes that include cost control, scope management and schedule management all while ensuring design requirements are met.You will work cross functionally utilizing lean tools and methodologies to continuously improve processes and drive out waste across business.

What You Will Do

MES/Controls Infrastructure & Solutions Support

  • Manage MES & Controls platforms/network to ensure reliability, OT Security access, obsolescence planning, and following Gallo MES/Controls standards
  • Partner with Corporate MES/Controls teams for consultation and standards guidance
  • Partner with Corporate and Site IT organization as needed in the execution of work.
  • Assist plant maintenance as needed in troubleshooting difficult MES/Controls issues that affect plant production

Capital MES/Controls Project Execution

  • Manage safety, costs, scope, schedule, and requirements on all controls capital projects that are assigned.
  • Evaluate Vendor capabilities to ensure performance goals and project deliverables are met.
  • Participate in department planning, interdepartmental planning, and management teams working cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Leverage the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functionally.
  • Engage in strategy, execution and direction discussions on capital projects and plant-wide initiatives.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business need (e.g. plant FAT's, Corporate visits)

What You Need

  • PhD of Engineering plus 4 years of Engineering experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's Degree in Engineering plus 6 years of Engineering experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, which may include Gallo TMDP or OMDP experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 8 years of Engineering experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, which may include Gallo TMDP or OMDP experience: OR Bachelor of Science Degree plus 10 years of Engineering experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma plus 12 years of Engineering experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

What Will Set You Apart

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Science, Bio-Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
