SUMMARY Under minimal supervision, the merchandiser has a set geographic territory with assigned stores they will service and merchandise regularly in order to facilitate sales of Gallo products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Checks Gallo inventory and restocks shelves.
* Services Gallo brands so that each product location in a store is fully stocked and presentable to the consumer.
* Maintains positive brand image through dusting and rotation.

* Builds display point-of-sale in all areas of the store Performs in-store resets.

* Partners with Sales Representatives/Managers to coordinate delivery and merchandising schedule.

* Builds effective relationships with store personnel to assure superior customer satisfaction.
* Carries out verbal instructions from appropriate staff.

* Maintains a timely and accurate merchandising call schedule.

* Available to work weekends and holidays.
* Maintains accurate reports.
* Projects a professional appearance while being friendly and helpful.
* Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
* Required to be at least 18 years of age.
* 1 year of work experience.

* Live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory.

* Must have car or personal transportation to access multi-store locations within assigned shift.
* Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
* Required to lift and move 45-57 pound cases of product regularly.
* Good communication skills.
* Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
* Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
* Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
* 2 years of direct merchandising experience.
* Skilled in merchandising techniques.

* Experience working for a grocery store.
* Experience working independently in the field.
* Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry.
* Available to work weekends for special functions/events.
