The Ranch Leaderengages in vineyard management functions by leading individuals with varying levels of experience and education and developing them to execute quality performance, problem solving, and customer service (internally and externally) to support the Sonoma Region ranching operations. Develops and maintains an understanding and adherence to budgets, customer interaction, vineyard safety measures, and other functions relating to growing wine grapes in order to meet wine style targets.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversees and coordinates day to day assignment, supply, performance, training and metrics for internal employees to ensure that they are being applied in a manner which maximizes quality, efficiency, and safety across the whole assigned area.
  • Provides support both on a daily and strategic scale, between the company and our FLC partners to ensure consistent supply of high-quality labor, compliance with the Law and Gallo company policy, and ensure that proper safety and training practices are followed.
  • Coordinates internal and FLC labor supply to deploy the workforce to meet the needs of the business and execute day to day operational functions in partnership with Ranch Leaders.
  • Provides input and partners with management regarding internal workforce and individual team member performance. Assists in providing logistical support for harvest operations in the areas assigned, regarding workforce and equipment scheduling.
  • Communicates and interprets overall organizational directives and applies them to team and individual objectives to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus vineyard or winery experience, including internships.
  • Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science plus 2 years of vineyard management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint MS Access at an intermediate level.
