We are seeking a driven and dynamic Senior Research Associate or Scientist to join our Macrocycle Platform Group and contribute to peptide drug discovery efforts. The candidate will be responsible for deploying macrocycle screening technologies and assays to identify and evolve peptide hits for multiple therapeutic programs.

Major accountabilities:

  • Use mRNA display and other peptide screening technologies to perform hit identification for therapeutic programs in immunology and neurology
  • Design and execute biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based assays to inform peptide hit identification and validation
  • Increase capabilities of macrocycle platforms by developing and deploying technology improvements
  • Analyze and interpret data and present to cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Degree in biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, protein engineering or related field with industry experience preferred. Level will be commensurate with degree and experience.

Competencies:

  • Experience with assay development, molecular biology techniques, and biochemical and mechanistic studies (e.g. ELISA, TR-FRET, enzymatic assays) is required
  • Experience with high throughput screening, in vitro selection technologies, or cell-based assay development is a bonus
  • Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
