Job Description

We are searching for a construction supervisor (E&C) to facilitate siting of new generation tie lines for our client's projects nationwide.This is a 1 yr. contract assignment.

The position will report to the Generation Tie Line Routing and Siting Manager and be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of route development and refinement with internal and external subject matter support groups across the organization.

Location: Remote but prefer candidates be near Juno Beach, FL

Job description

  • Experienced with the development of routing and siting for gen tie projects with other linear projects like pipelines and transmission lines also applicable.
  • Primary responsibility will include route development, refinement, field visits to verify to support overall pre-construction preparation for energy projects.
  • Should have at least some experiences in the field, with geospatial application such as Google Earth and/or GIS.
  • Functional understanding of the key criteria used to develop routing criteria across functions such as cost, engineering concerns, and common environmental constraints is expected.
  • Be experienced with route refinement using value engineering or other applicable concepts to optimize criteria for late-stage activities including permitting prior to construction.
  • Travel within the US is expected approximately 25%.

Experience/Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction supervisor role
  • Must have excellent communication skills, experience performing routing and siting tradeoff decisions in the presence of uncertainty.
  • Must have the ability to identify and evaluate routing risks with input from subject matter experts, and ability to problem solve within highly regulated permitting requirements.
  • Must be comfortable communicating or discussing risks with various subject matter experts including Engineering & Construction, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land.
  • Must have the ability to be both detail oriented and maintain sight of the larger vision are key criteria for successful candidates.
