Job Description

We are searching for a Project Coordinator for a 10+ months contract assignment. This role manages utility construction projects from initial customer meeting, design, to construction scheduling, and execution. Must be able to meet with customers in the field and communicate company requirements and how to meet customer needs. Will take customer requests and integrate them into company network while working with internal engineering groups. Must be able to manage a large workload from start to finish in a variety of project sizes.

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Job Responsibilities:

Establish and manage the construction work plan with construction forces in order to meet the customers' schedule and design requirements as well as financial and budgetary requirements.

  • Responsible for the generation of additional company revenue through contacts with new business or existing customers.
  • Design facilities for new and existing customers according to construction standards and interpret administrative instructions for consistent and cost-effective designs.
  • Provide distribution design project management for the least complex areas of design.
  • Responsible for the generation of additional company revenue through contacts with new business or existing customers.
  • Obtain permits and easements for facilities in accordance with city ordinances, state, federal, and county agencies as required.
  • Execute contracts and agreements in compliance with administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the Company with government officials, contractors, city agencies, vendors, architects, and engineers to provide service to customers.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

High school Diploma or Associate degree or higher in a technical field preferred

Must have at least 3+ years of experience in similar capacity.

  • Project management skills, customer service experience,
  • Ability to learn new computer systems quickly, and ability to interact with internal and contracted construction crews.
  • Need a basic understanding of engineering and technical concepts,
  • Capable to communicate with a variety of customers, able to manage a large workload efficiently, and basic understanding of project management concepts.
  • Experience with construction and/or utility work is desired but not required.
