Job Description

We are looking for a Construction supervisor for a 1 yr. contract assignment on behalf of our client. This person will have construction knowledge as well as renewable energy knowledge, including fossil fuel plant knowledge, coal burning plants as well as combustion turbine generating plants in addition to solar and wind. This role will mainly follow the base capital projects and will bounce around the Denver area potentially up to Pueblo maybe Steamboat Springs, about 90% of the time would be in the Denver metro.

Location: Denver, CO

Responsibilities:

  • This person will be responsible for quite a few different projects including repair work in combustion turbines, coal plants.
  • It could also be electrical projects, mostly low voltage below 1000 Volt and Hydro plants.
  • Will be working closely with the project managers reporting directly to them.
  • Will work would be 100% in the field traveling to and working between the different plants to work on base capital projects.
  • Will use basic skills in in Word and other Microsoft Suite knowledge.
  • Will conduct PowerPoint presentations, budgeting on Excel spreadsheets, etc.
  • This is a construction supervisor role: overall responsibilities are to oversee safety, provide quality control, and ensure the contractors are following specifications.

Requirements:

  • Must have 8 to 10 years renewable/plant construction background. Gas, coal, hydro, wind and solar. Not looking for general construction experience. A valid drivers license is also required for this role.
  • Broad technical skills are required in addition to strong management skills.
  • The ability to work between different groups, interacting with both contractors and managers at all levels, cross functional team experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coordination skills.
  • Construction knowledge as well as renewable energy knowledge, including fossil fuel plant knowledge, coal burning plants as well as combustion turbine generating plants in addition to solar and wind.
  • Knowledge of/experience with quality control, safety, and general construction oversight.
