The Groundskeeper will be on-site atin Saint Helena, CA.

$1,000 hiring bonus included!

This position is responsible for executing landscaping projects and performingroutine cleaning and maintenance on gardening, grounds equipment and external facilities. Performs allwork in accordance with established safety procedures.

Compensation

  • Hiring HourlyRange Posted: $20.34 - $27.45/hour
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

What You Will Do:

  • Performs plant landscaping for assigned facility.
  • Operates gas and electric powered tools; mowers, tractors, sprayers weed-eaters, blowers, chainsaws,and hedgers, etc.
  • Applies pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides.
  • Maintains lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and weed control; maintains and install sprinkler systems, timers andrepairs lines as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work and storage area.
  • Report unsafe conditions to site management, provide recommendations for correction.
  • Maintains ponds (excluds wastewater ponds) by unclogging and removing debris.
  • Ensures all landscaping equipment is maintained in safe working order.
  • Maintains storm drains to ensure clear drainage to wastewater ponds or creek.
  • Maintains accurate records of daily activities, equipment maintenance records, consumable inventories,mileage, purchases, and other data as required.
  • Engages in special projects as assigned; work with vendors.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year experience landscaping, production, operations, or construction environment.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Internal/external customer service experience.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Basic computer skills, specifically email and simple data entry.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience in landscaping,production, operations, or construction environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical processes.
