About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced communicator who can make meaningful contributions in support of the company's global growth strategy. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and driving milestone-based communication strategies that enable the successful integration of acquired companies into Boston Scientific, with a primary focus on people, culture and engagement.

Candidates must demonstrate strong competency as a trusted communications advisor, business strategist and interdisciplinary storyteller. They must also have a functional understanding of working within a regulated industry and collaborating and influencing across multiple businesses, functions, regions and channels to reach stakeholder audiences.

This role is hybrid, with the candidate spending an average of 3 days per week at either the company's Marlborough, MA headquarters or one of its Minnesota offices. This is an individual contributor position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and drive strategic integration communications across a wide range of audiences to support the achievement of business goals
  • Serve as a thought partner and trusted advisor to integration leadership on messaging, communication strategies, tactics, and approach
  • Lead the development and execution of communication plans and assets for critical integration milestones
  • Partner with leadership, HR, IT, Organizational Change Enablement and other internal stakeholders on organizational change communications, employee engagement strategies and business-critical change management efforts
  • Collaborate closely with Global Corporate Communications and cross-functional colleagues to ensure reach, consistency, and localization of communications based on audience needs
  • Facilitate collaboration between Corporate Marketing and the business unit commercial teams to enable faster and more consistent brand integrations
  • Serve as the integration communications subject matter expert within the Global Corporate Communications function; establish, document and execute repeatable playbooks, processes and best practices
  • Continuously measure, report on and evolve communication approaches based on quantitative and qualitative data points
  • Coordinate the timely cross-functional review and approval of content with communications, marketing, clinical, legal, regulatory and other key stakeholders
  • Provide project management and tactical support to ensure the timely completion of high-quality deliverables

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of internal communications experience within a corporate or agency environment, ideally with a focus on healthcare (e.g. medical devices, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology).
  • Broad experience developing and executing global strategic communications across internal channels focused on business strategy, priorities, employee engagement, change management and culture. Formal certification in a change management methodology preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in major internal communications channels and digital tools.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic counsel at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex information into simple and relatable terms.
  • Excellent planning, project management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dedication to maintaining high productivity and producing quality work on deadline while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive continuous improvement through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes.
  • Solutions-oriented, with a willingness to bring new ideas and try new approaches.
  • Adept at working in a highly collaborative environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
