The Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of efforts that drive the firm's marketing operations function. This position is responsible for executing strategies and implementing processes that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall success of the marketing function. The Marketing Operations Specialist manages the annual cycles of all legal directory submissions. This position extends support to firm wide initiatives, collaborates on marketing operations functions, and contributes to other projects, as needed. A hybrid work schedule is available for this position.

  • Oversee the annual cycles of all legal directory submissions, including planning, effective delegation, streamlined distribution, and precise execution of all submissions. This also includes keeping the team apprised of deadlines, timelines, referee outreach, and regularly evaluating new opportunities.
  • Provide event communications support as needed, including the production of evites and electronic mailings via the firm's email marketing system (Tikit/eMerge).
  • Routine content maintenance and audits on the firm's website.
  • Assist with the execution of client alerts as needed, including coordinating final copy, managing conflicts process and clearance, and production and distribution to appropriate mailing lists.
  • Manage CRM data integrity and process queries to the CRM database, including strategic contribution to the development of targeted contact lists for invitations to events and thought leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing, business development, or communications fields, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Communications or relevant field required. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling content.
  • Strong ability to proofread.
  • Experience with Sitecore, InterAction and Tikit preferred.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Smartsheet.
  • Must be detail oriented, proactive, and self-directed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new software.

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:

  • Rochester, NY: $58,172 to $83,210
  • Manchester, NH: $58,172 to $83,210
  • Albany, NY: $61,081 to $87,370
  • Providence, RI: $63,989 to $91,530
  • Chicago, IL: $66,898 to $95,691
  • Washington, DC: $62,330 to $89,120
  • Boston, MA: $62,330 to $89,120
  • Los Angeles, CA: $62,330 to $89,120
  • San Francisco, CA: $72,715 to $104,012
  • New York, NY: $72,715 to $104,012
  • Long Island, NY: $72,715 to $104,012

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody's good faith estimate of the annual salary(ies) it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
