Responsibilities

Mental Health Associate Opportunity - Premium Pay, Every Weekend Position

This position requires working every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in exchange for a higher rate of pay. There is an opportunity to work full time (40 or 32 hours per week) or part time (24 hours per week). The base pay range is $22.00 - $30.00 per hour for candidates with a high school diploma and $23.00 - $31.00 per hour for candidates with a bachelor's degree.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Mental Health Associate is a vital part of Pembroke Hospital's treatment team. This is a full time or part time position with an opportunity to work on the day, evening, or overnight shift. We offer competitive shift differentials for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.

As a Mental Health Associate, you will:

  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
  • Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
  • Assist with patient groups and activities
  • Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
  • Provide trauma informed and age-specific care
  • Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • College student who have obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable Judgment & professionalism
  • Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation
