Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex flux research and development projects.
  • Develop new solder paste products by combining fluxes, activators, and commercial solder alloys to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Set up manufacturing process, create/ establish instructions on proper testing and source appropriate equipment.
  • Evaluate substances and materials for chemical safety, analyze substances to find their composition for benchmarking and update safety data sheets for all of our products.
  • Resolve production deviations and customer quality complaints.
  • Create qualification reports for customers when developing new recipes and help generate 8D reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience developing flux, solder paste or adhesives.
  • Proficiency conducting DOE's and performing statical data analysis using Minitab, excel or similar software.
  • Ability to run DSC/TGA Operation, Rheology/Viscometry Analysis and understanding of MS/GC
  • Familiarity with PCBA/EMA assembly processes.
  • Batchelor's of Science in Chemistry, material science focus preferred.
