We are seeking candidates ideally located near the DC or NYC area due to our client base. This role requires a Pharmacist with Oncology experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

You will oversee clinical services and optimize programs for ambulatory and specialty pharmacies at the client level. Collaborating closely with the Clinical Program Manager, you will be responsible for building, developing, and measuring performance while focusing on evidence-based practices to enhance outcomes. Your role will entail regular interaction with providers and clinical staff at assigned client sites, where you will contribute to the training, development, and oversight of clinical and specialty Patient Management Programs. Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, payers, and manufacturers, you will spearhead medication therapy management programs and integrate pharmaceutical care throughout all client sites, making a meaningful impact on patient lives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Develop, implement, and enhance clinical pharmacy services across all client sites.

  • Set clinical standards and protocols for specialty pharmacy practice, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.

  • Oversee patient management program policies and standards across relevant client sites.

  • Support the professional growth of clinical staff, providing training and education for comprehensive patient care.

  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical care and outcomes.

  • Conduct clinical outcomes studies to generate data on specialty pharmacy programs' effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with site leaders to monitor and report clinical metrics and outcomes.

  • Establish quality metrics and assessment tools for quarterly data reporting.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required. Doctoral degree in Pharmacy preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Active and unrestricted licensure, in good standing, as a pharmacist in state of residency or practice is required, multi-state licensure preferred.

  • Advanced certification (e.g., BCPS or BCACP) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of Pharmacy work-related experience is required.

  • Specific disease state experience may be required for certain positions (i.e. Oncology, Hematology, etc.).

  • 1+ year of experience as a clinical coordinator or supervisor in specialty or ambulatory focused program is preferred.

  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency (PGY-1 or PGY2) is preferred.

  • Specialty pharmacy services experience/knowledge is preferred.

  • Experience as a pharmacy preceptor is required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Make impactful decisions affecting major departments and overall organizational strategy for clinical programs.

  • Design, conduct, and lead scholarly quality improvement, clinical, and patient-reported outcomes research.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies for complex clinical service development.

  • Lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS (ON-CALL, TRAVEL, SHIFT, COVERAGE):

  • Travel client sites is estimated to fall between 25-50% to identify opportunities for expanding and optimizing clinical services.
