Position Summary:

The Hybrid Senior Tax Analyst position within corporate tax department located in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include tax compliance, tax provision and audit support for both federal and state consolidated filings. Assist with ongoing improvement to corporate tax processes.

General Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of the US income tax provision to ensure timely, accurate compliance with all aspects of ASC 740 reporting, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
• Manage the adequacy of tax account reconciliations and roll-forward analysis.
• Responsible for federal consolidated income tax return preparation, including federal proforma return of assigned subsidiaries, and preparation of the quarterly estimated tax payments and extension calculation.
• Research and document tax issues as needed.
• Support the overall software maintenance of tax compliance system (OneSource), mapping and configuration.
• Support on federal and state income tax audits as required.
• Work on various special projects such as federal and state research tax credits, financial analysis of intercompany transactions, acquisitions, etc.
• Support 3rd party with respect to outsourced state tax return compliance including calculation of state tax modifications and state apportionment.
• Identify and deliver continuous process improvements; support and implement automation.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting; emphasis on taxation preferred.
• Licensed CPA is preferred
• 3-6 years of tax-related experience including at least 2 years with public accounting firm.

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; experience developing written communications.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel that includes Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, Vlookups and creating custom formulas.
• Experience with SAP, OneStream, OneSource and Longview preferred but not required.
